On July 28, the BC Games Society, along with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, announced the winning bids to host the 2024 and 2026 BC Winter and BC Summer Games! Quesnel's 2024 BC Winter Games in February 2024 are first on the docket, followed by the Maple Ridge 2024 and Kelowna 2026 BC Summer Games in July 2024 and July 2026, respectively.

From July 21-24, 2022 the city of Prince George will be alive as they welcome BC's best young athletes, coaches and officials to participate in 18 sports. A community with a rich sport-hosting pedigree, they will look to recreate and transcend the magic of the 1981 BC Winter Games, 1990 BC Summer Games, and 2015 Canada Winter Games.

Graeme Roberts was a fixture at the BC Games for so many years. Serving as the Community Ambassador for Jazz Aviation and later named an Honourary Board Member of the society, Graeme brought his own special flair, enthusiasm, and style to the Games. Whether it was the dramatic and suspenseful way he announced the winners of the Air Canada tickets, regaling with his stories, or chatting with volunteers and participants in a way that made them feel special and valued, he definitely made his mark.

Led by Co-Flag Bearer Nathan Hirayama, the 30 athletes 6 coaches at the Tokyo Olympics who are BC Games alumni can attribute their first multi-sport experience to their developmental years in BC. These athletes and coaches are a living testament of the important role the BC Games play in the sport development pathway to the highest levels of competition.
