Sport and Cultural Organizations Benefit from Maple Ridge 2020 BC Summer Games Legacy Funds
More than $128,000 will go to to support local sport and community development projects, ensuring the people of Maple Ridge will benefit from being chosen to host the Games.
Thirteen local non-profit sport, recreation, and community organizations will receive funding for infrastructure, equipment, and training. The projects selected by the Legacy Committee aim to leave a
lasting impact on sport and community wellness.
BC Games Alumni Leave Their Mark on Tokyo Olympics
Of the 51 athletes on Team Canada at this summer's Olympic Games, 11 came home with hardware, while many more made us proud to call them our own with inspiring performances! A quarter of Canada's medals (6 of 24) were won by BC Games or Team BC alumni, including two gold and four bronze.
Tokyo 2020 Paralympics - 11 BC Games Alumni To Watch
The Tokyo 2020 action continues with two more scintillating weeks of competition between August 24 and September 5! BC Games Coach Mentorship Program
Calling all Winter PSOs! Applications for the BC Games Coach Mentorship Program are now open! This program, in partnership with viaSport and the Canadian Sport Institute Pacific, is designed to help coaches enhance and develop their skills in pursuit of higher levels of certification.
Legacy of the Games Continues in Abbotsford
Five years after the flame on the torch was extinguished at the end of the Abbotsford 2016 BC Summer Games, another recipient of the legacy endowment fund is creating opportunities for youth in the community.
